Dilaco goes green with its vehicle fleet

Dilaco provides IT services such as cyber security, data analytics, AI, workplace-as-a-service to SMEs, and is a pioneer of SOC-as-a-Service in Belgium. The company aims to reduce its ecological footprint and does so in various forms: digitizing, less printing, working from home policy, hybrid company cars, etc.

The last couple of years, the Belgian government has not made things easy for companies in terms of fleet management. The new government’s plans for 2026 are very ambitious to say the least. Everyone agrees that a lot of technological innovation and investments are still needed to make it a success story.

Moving forward, Dilaco has been working on greening its fleet for a while. The hybrid concept is the perfect step towards a fully electrified fleet. The Belgian flavoured Volvo XC40, known for its safety, technology and reliability is a logical choice!

“We chose the Volvo XC40 plug-in hybrid as a company car for our employees. They are compact SUVs, suitable for everyone. The car drives smoothly, it has excellent road handling, comfortable seats, and a large petrol tank for hybrid cars. Moreover, the safety features are standard on the Volvo, which gives the driver a very safe feeling. Another great feature is the Volvo On Call App. With the app, the driver can cool or heat the car in advance or check if the battery is fully charged. In addition, you can link the app to your calendar and send addresses from your phone to the sat nav in the car. Although the pure electric autonomy is rather limited – the range is about 35km – it is perfectly achievable for commuting.” – Tommie Dils, HR & Fleet manager at Dilaco.
