What to expect

Objective: The content of this training covers all the basic concepts of the PRINCE2® method. The training is aimed at giving students insight into the philosophy of the PRINCE2® method.

Students are explained how the model is set up, how the different project activities and project roles are connected and how PRINCE2® handles exceptions and changes that always occur in a project.

During the course, participants will learn how to set up a project management organization responsible for managing and planning a project. Students will be taught how to define the different project management roles to ensure that the project is executed in the most effective and efficient way.

PRINCE2® is a Registered Trade Mark of the Office of Government Commerce in the United Kingdom and other countries.

Content: You learn the principles and terminology of project-based working according to the PRINCE2® method. This gives you a structured insight into the way in which a project and a project organization are built and how a project can be started up, executed and delivered in accordance with PRINCE2® in a controlled manner. More specifically, in this training you will learn the following:

  • Your own role and the role of others in a project
  • The purpose and main content/guidelines of: the Project Mandate, the Project Brief, the Project Initiation document, the End Project Report and a number of other important project documents
  • Mastering a project with key activities, roles and tools
  • With this knowledge you are ready to obtain the PRINCE2® Foundation certificate. The PRINCE2® exam is therefore an part of the training.
