Location: Groningen on-site

Our client is based in Groningen and now we are looking to expand the team of 2 System Support engineers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

<\/p><\/div>\n\r\n

Function<\/h4>\n

As a Support Engineer (also knows as a 2nd line system support engineer) your role is to keep the systems up and running, resolve issues, pro-actively monitor all systems and prevent issues to happen again by documenting solutions.<\/span><\/p>

This includes:
<\/span>– modifications, enhancements, extensions, upgrades, start-up assistance, commissioning, maintenance within the agreed time frame, requirements and performance.
<\/span><\/span>
You are or want to become a specialist in the field of:
<\/span>– Support, system management and engineering (90%)<\/strong><\/span><\/span>– network management (10%) is a pr\u00e9
<\/strong><\/span><\/span>– security integration (firewall updates, rules, etc.) <\/span>is a pr\u00e9

<\/strong>You work in a multidisciplinary team:
<\/span><\/span>– troubleshooting consists of looking for the right solution, making the right decision and documenting the solution
<\/span><\/span>– you are responsible for (independently) configuring, installing, troubleshooting and testing Windows systems
<\/span><\/span>– A pr\u00e9 is if you have knowlegde of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (updates, patches, minor changes in access lists and port configuration, etc.)
<\/span><\/span>– <\/span>you are responsible for solving issues and updating clients and servers, Active Directory, WSUS, McAfee ePO and other security applications
<\/span><\/span>– <\/span><\/span>A pr\u00e9 is if you have knowlegde of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (updates, patches, minor changes in access lists and port configuration, etc.)

<\/span><\/span>Duties:
<\/span>– You are responsible for handling and investigate causes of malfunction, corrective maintenance of Software and sometimes hardware (e.g. replacing hard discs, screens, cards, installing Patches, Anti-Virus, Windows updates, etc.).
<\/span><\/span>– You will prevent incidents & do maintenance (installing windows patches \/ anti-virus)
<\/span><\/span>– You will carry out remote checks on system statuses and notifications of the client, as well as actively working on client\u2019s systems on site.
<\/span><\/span>– You deliver small to medium automation service projects (modifications, enhancements, extensions, upgrades, start-up assistance, commissioning, maintenance (incl. repair) of software and hardware within the agreed time frame, equirements and performance.
<\/span><\/span>– Depending on your knowledge<\/em> you are responsible for (independently) configuring, installing, troubleshooting and testing routers, switches, firewalls, Active Directory, WSUS, McAfee ePO and other security applications.

<\/span><\/span>All in all you are or want to become a specialist in the field of system, network and security integration.
<\/span><\/span>Your main location is Groningen<\/strong>, but you will also go to other sites sometimes.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\r\n

Requirements<\/h4>\n

– Most important in this role is that you are:
pro-active and willing to investigate and learn, that you like challenges and want to resolve (sometimes complex) issues<\/strong>
– A completed IT related MBO3\/4 or HBO education
<\/span>– Great communication and social skill!!<\/strong>
<\/span>– Preferably one or more achieved MCSE and \/ or MCSA Certificates (this is a pr\u00e9);<\/strong>
<\/span>– Knowledge of and experience with Windows Server (2012\/2016\/2019), Windows  7\/8\/10, Active Directory, WSUS, McAfee ePO and Virtualization (Hyper-V), ITIL
– Experience with a DBMS
– A pr\u00e9 is some knowledge of Veeam
<\/span>– Experience with Cisco switches, routers and firewalls is a plus
<\/span>– At least 2+ year of work experience in a similar field of expertise
<\/span>– A practical attitude and strong analytical skills
<\/span>– A flexible, customer-friendly and solution-oriented attitude
<\/span>– Excellent communication skills and good command of the English and Dutch language in speech and writing.

<\/span>– Cisco device experience
<\/span>– Industrial Automation (industry experience)
